Restroom
Fund Projects :
1) New Day Camp Restroom:
The camp is accepting donations for new restroom facilities,
located in the Day Camp Area by the current location of
restroom. We have started the design and are working with
Pease Architects. The design pictures will be posted. The
design and approximate cost will be provided in May timeframe.
The restroom will replace
a two stall restroom facility built in 1960. Basically,
the Day Campers have outgrown the facilities and the facilities
are old and worn out. Based on the new volume and current
standards, the new facility will have 6 unisex showers with
two family units with toilets, 4 stalls for women, 3 stalls
and two urinals for men, and grooming areas for the men
and women.
2) Improve Lodge Dining Hall –
Restroom Project:
The Lodge Dining Hall Restroom project is being considered
and the design is started. Once a plan is completed, it
will be posted.
3) Replace Old Lodge Restroom:
This project has not been started. We will maintain the
facility without major improvements until we have the financial
ability to rebuild.
NEW Lodge
Restroom Completed:
The restroom is located behind the Shelter in the Lodge
Area. It has 6 unisex showers, restrooms and grooming areas.
Dedication of this building will take place on May 5th,
2007, during the Annual Work Camp.

The fund is used to purchase new or maintain the program
activities and facilities for the youth and family campers,
retreat center, and grounds Some past purchases: Youth Bikes,
Life-sized Chess Set, Ark, Archery, Septic, Well, Soccer
Field and more. Future potential purchases: Adult sized
bikes for Middle and High School Youth, Sand Boards, Boogie
Boards, Multimedia for Crafthall.

The camp is accepting donations for maintaining the two
Dune Steps in the Lodge and Day Camp Areas. This project
was completed in April 2003 and it is in need of yearly
maintenance of around $3,000. These steps are 1) a beautiful
location for watching the Lake Michigan Sunsets, 2) a great
help with getting family and friends to the beach and back,
and 3) a wind and use erosion prevention tool.

The camp is also accepting donations for a Retreat Center
addition and Lodge Shelter enclosure. The Retreat Center
addition will include an expanded meeting room with a fireplace.
The Lodge Shelter enclose will include a fieldstone fireplace
and rolling doors which will provide an enclosed or open
shelter for inclement or nice weather..
